What we see most in the South East

The South East is the region where patients most often arrive having already tried something. Pharmacy-supplied minoxidil foam is widely available across the commuter belt, and a large share of enquiries come from men who used it for a few months, saw the early shed, and stopped before it could work. That is worth saying plainly: the shedding phase is expected, it usually starts between two and six weeks in, and stopping during it is the single most common reason treatment appears to fail.

Plain packaging, £7 per order whatever the quantity.

If you would rather come in

Most of the South East is inside an hour of London by train, so attending Harley Street for a follow-up is realistic if you want it. Reading, Brighton, Oxford and Guildford are all direct.

Questions we get from South East patients

I stopped minoxidil because my hair got worse. Was that the wrong call?

Very likely, and it is the most common reason treatment appears to fail. Minoxidil pushes follicles into a new growth cycle, and the old hairs shed first. That shed typically starts between two and six weeks in and settles within a few weeks. Stopping during it means taking the cost and none of the benefit.

Can I get treated without taking time off work?

Yes. There is no appointment. The assessment is completed online whenever suits you, a GMC-registered doctor reviews it, and we reply within two hours during clinic hours on weekdays.

I bought minoxidil over the counter in a pharmacy. Why would I pay more here?

For the review, not the molecule. A pharmacy sells you a product; we work out whether it is the right one, at what strength, alongside what else, and then check how you respond. If over-the-counter 5% foam is genuinely all you need, a clinician will tell you that.
